Adelante ...

the Spanish word for (way) forward!

So here goes ...

I'm taking my first few stumbling steps into the world of blogging. I have been blogging before, but never really done it with much success. No matter how much effort I put into it, it always seemed to be such a waste of time. There was other things that were calling for my attention IRL. Kids, friends and new woollen adventures always won my attention when a few unplanned hours materialized out of nowhere. However, the good intentions of sharing thoughts on this, that or the other stayed with me and gave birth to "The woollen window" - A blog about wool, words and wonders. Do I need to say I'm excited?

I'm excited on my own behalf and the world of possibilities that lies in the creative community that blogging offers.

As I am writing this I am sitting outside in our garden, enjoying the sunshine and the early signs of spring. Today is a special day. It is not only the day when this blog finally came to life, it is(was) also my dads birthday.  Unfortunately he passed away 4 and a half years ago, but I am still reminding myself of all the good things he did for me and my sister. He was a strong person and a firm believer in following your hearts desires and contributing to the "world" in a positive way. I am forever grateful for having had such a positive reinforcement of doing what I love. To me, this seems like such a great way to honor his memory and remind myself to feel happy about the simple things in life.

Do you ever need to be reminded of this?
